… from Globetrotting Energy Capturer to Refractions

I’ve been working on Globetrotting Energy Capturer since 2013. Time has passed, and along the way, countless questions and answers have emerged.
The project originally began on Tumblr as Through My Eyes but in 2016 when the importance of travel became clear to me, I decided to highlight this focus by renaming the project Globetrotting Energy Capturer.

Now, after more than a decade, I realize that I haven’t just been traveling to these cities, I’ve been living through them. It was difficult to admit at first, but identity had (and still has) everything to do with it.
Whether short or long, near or far, still today each journey helps me discover, create, and connect fragments of what alternates between feeling like a sometimes linear, sometimes complex path.

There is, however, one constant: each city presents itself in one way, only to unfold and reveal itself in multiple directions. Like a game of refractions : light, speed, color, lines, and directions… Refractions.
So, as I continue to dive into cities and their energies I find myself moving from Globetrotting Energy Capturer to Refractions. A new chapter dedicated to experimentation and boldness.
